ODFW seeks public input on big game management

SALEM, Oregon — The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife needs to hear from hunters.

The agency is in the process of reviewing deer and elk seasons.

“We’re looking for just input before we start putting together proposed standards to 2021 big game hunting seasons,” said ODFW watershed manager Nick Myatt.

Myatt said this includes general archery and rifle seasons.  All hunters can comment at the website

Some hunters will be randomly selected from a more in depth survey.  ODFW has been in the process of writing new rules for several years and they’re in the final stages of the process.
