Community Police Academy taking registrations

WALLA WALLA, Washington – Citizens of Walla Walla can learn how the law enforcement agencies and the judicial system function. Enrollment is now open for the Community Police Academy.

The Walla Walla Police Department offers classroom education and interaction with members of law enforcement and the judicial community. Classes will be held on Wednesday nights from 6 to 9 p.m. March 4 through May 27.

This year’s academy will focus on a variety of topics including patrol functions, crime prevention, criminal prosecution, emergency planning, and traffic safety.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to participate and space is limited.
