WWPD make felony warrant arrest

WALLA WALLA, Washington – Police arrested a Walla Walla man wanted on a felony warrant Tuesday night. His wife was also taken into custody.

Tigger W. Janson, 31, had an active felony warrant and was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance – marijuana.  WWPD Sgt. Eric Knudson said he also had over one ounce in his possession.

His wife and passenger, Mollie R. Janson, 29, was arrested for allowing an unauthorized person to drive her vehicle and was found in possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine.

Knudson said officers observed Tigger driving a motor vehicle on East Alder Street near Park Street just before 7 p.m.  He was stopped in a nearby parking lot and placed into custody.  Officers had probable cause to apply for a search warrant to search the vehicle which Tigger was driving.

Police recovered a firearm along with a chargeable amount of marijuana from the vehicle.  Officers also learned Tigger was driving on a suspended license.

He is currently being held in the Walla Walla County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
