Oregon DMV dropping driver license address-change stickers

SALEM, Oregon – The Oregon DMV is making a change that affects you when you move.

If you have an Oregon driver license and you move, you have to notify DMV within 30 days.  In the past, they’ve sent a sticker you put on your driver license with the new address.

Oregon was one of three states that still did this.  Technology now allows police to immediately look up your address from their car.  The change will save over $500,000 a year.  It takes effect after January 1, 2020.
