Two Measure 11 cases are in court Monday

UMATILLA COUNTY, Oregon – Two high-profile cases have court actions scheduled for Monday morning. Both include Measure 11 charges.

Quinn Countryman of Weston has a pretrial conference. He’s charged with second-degree assault in a stabbing incident that took place at the McKay Dam south of Pendleton in June. At the time of the alleged crime, Countryman was 25.

Jesus Ramiro Soto

Jesus Soto, 38, of Pilot Rock has a trial readiness hearing set. He was arrested by Pilot Rock Police on Oct. 26 following a report of a disturbance. Charges against him include first-degree unlawful sexual penetration, and second-degree sex abuse.

Countryman’s conference will be at the Umatilla County Courthouse in Pendleton. The hearing for Soto will be at the Stafford Hansell Justice Center in Hermiston.
