WALLA WALLA, Washington – The Walla Walla County Board of Commissioners has a public hearing and a scheduled vote on the 2020 budget on the agenda at its meeting at 9:30 a.m. Monday. The budget itself is not part of the meeting packet.
The board will also consider approving agreements with the Washington State Office of Public Defense and for the county’s medical program director. Other items on the consent agenda include executing employment agreements with Laura Prentice and Chad Goodhue.
Action items include approving the recommendations from the Walla Walla County Lodging Tax Advisory Committee for 2020 tourism grant awards and approving the official holidays for the coming year.
Department of Community Health Director Meghan DeBolt will present a five-year homeless housing plan. Possible board action on that plan will come at a later date. Also making a presentation to the commissioners is Lauren Prentice of the Community Development Department who will discuss the county’s comprehensive plan and the county code pertaining to development regulations.
