According to Matt Donegon, chair of the Governor’s Council on Wildfire Response, the council is looking at several areas for change.
“We all have seen that the insurance industry is becoming a lot more akeem to wildfire risks, a lot more sophisticated in terms of modeling wildfire risks,” Donegon explained.
The council will also recommend ways to deal with wildfire smoke.
“We are recommending air filtration systems and actually state investments in air filtration systems for vulnerable populations,” he added.
The council will issue its final report Monday.
