TOUCHET, Washington – Work on the U.S. Highway 12 bridges in Touchet has begun according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
“The contractor will replace the old bridge rails with pedestrian railing, place new thrive beam guardrail and pave,” WSDOT spokeswoman Jackie Ramirez said. “This is a short project. Work is expected to be done by the end of July.”
Ramirez advises drivers to be aware of one-way alternating traffic.
“Our crews are setting up a temporary traffic light these next few days,” she said. “This traffic configuration will stay like this for the remainder of the project.”
Work is taking place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on U.S. Highway 12 between milepost 319 to 320 and milepost 321 to 323.
