PENDLETON, Oregon – The U.S. Secret Service came to call Wednesday morning. An agent, accompanied by a police officer went to the Go Fish RV Park on Southeast Byers Avenue to investigate threats being made against President Donald Trump.
PPD Lt. Charles Byram says that the resident consented to a search of his home and nothing was found to warrant a further investigation. No criminal charges have been filed and, for that reason, Byram declined to identify the subject.
“He basically shook his finger at him (the resident) and told him not to do that again,” Byram said.
It’s possible that the police department sparked the visit. It had reported to the FBI, as it is required to do, that a man was making threats against Trump on social media.
