Police investigate two drive-by shootings

WALLA WALLA, Washington – Walla Walla police are looking into reports of two possible drive-by shootings Tuesday that are believed to have happened hours apart.

Officers responded to the first report at 12:41 a.m. Tuesday on the 200 block of East Cherry Street.  According to Sgt. Kevin Braman, rounds did not penetrate the door, therefore no one was injured.  No vehicle description or witnesses were located, and no motive is known at this time.

Then, officers responded to a report at 11 a.m. in the 400 block of South Eighth Avenue.  Braman says a homeowner reported at that time that they discovered damage to walls inside the residence.  The time of the actual shooting is unclear, as neighbors said they heard gunshots but didn’t report it.  Again, Braman said here were no visual witnesses. No injuries were reported.

Braman said because of the time frame and similar events, it’s very possible the two incidents are related.
