BENTON COUNTY, Washington – A Hermiston physician suffered non-life-threatening wounds after his son shot him last Saturday at the family’s home in the Kennewick area. The Benton County Sheriff’s Office has not arrested the son, but are continuing the investigation.
BCSO confirms that Hunter Harrison, 20, shot Dr. Patrick Harrison, 46, twice when an argument between his father and mother turned physical. The son called a neighbor and reported the incident to 911. The Tri-City Herald reports the Benton County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office spoke with investigators who then decided not to arrest Hunter Harrison at that point in the investigation.
Patrick Harrison is recovering from gunshot wounds to his collarbone and his stomach. The sheriff’s office wants anyone who may have information to contact Det. C.J. Conner at 509-735-6555.
Dr. Harrison is an orthopedic surgeon with Good Shepherd Health Care System in Hermiston.
