WALLA WALLA, Washington — The Veterans Memorial Pool is having an ‘okay’ season, due to the cooler summer we’ve seen in the region. With the warmer temperatures last weekend however, an average of 870 people visited the pool each day.

“Weather maybe hasn’t been as conducive for swimming thus far with not a lot of days in the 90s,” says Parks and Rec Director Andy Coleman.

Despite the cooler weather, pool programs are having a fantastic year. More people have participated this year thus far than in all of the 2017 season. There are still more sessions of swimming to go.

This is the Veterans Memorial Pool’s second year up and running following it’s renovation.
