Detectives seize $10 million worth of goods during pot bust

KING COUNTY, Washington — Sheriff’s detectives from King County seized nearly $10 million in illegal marijuana after serving 18 search warrants last week at illegal grow locations.

According to a sheriff’s office press release, detectives served warrants on residences and two storage units in King County: Renton, Federal Way, Auburn, Pacific, Kent, Lakewood and Seattle. Detectives found more than 7,000 marijuana plants and almost 800 pounds of processed marijuana with a total value of nearly $10 million dollars.

Ten people were booked into King County Jail for related charges.
