BALDWIN COUNTY, Alabama — A man from Connell, Washington and his 15-year-old son were arrested in Baldwin County, Alabama last week on numerous drug charges.
Deputies from the local sheriff’s office conducted a vehicle stop on a Ford F-150 pulling a flatbed trailer hauling two golf carts on a freeway, for not having visible tags. The truck was driven by Donald Scott Sells, 43. His 15-year-old son was a passenger in the vehicle.
“During conversation with both Sells and his son, conflicting statements were made by both,” the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office said in a release.
Sells gave permission to deputies to conduct a search of his vehicle and trailer, and upon a search, deputies discovered 32 bundles of crystal methamphetamine inside eight heavy duty vehicle batteries hidden inside the golf carts, weighing approximately 115 pounds.
Sells was arrested for drug trafficking and is lodged in the corrections center in Baldwin County at $600,000 bail. His son was arrested for second degree possession of marijuana, and is being held at the local detention center.
