WALLA WALLA, Washington — The nearly 70-year-old Walla Walla Gun Club that operates on the western side of the Walla Walla Regional Airport is looking to renew its lease with the Port Commission.

The previous 13-year lease agreement will expire on July 31, 2020, and at the Port’s meeting tonight, they will discuss a new, long-term lease agreement so that the club is eligible for grant opportunities.

The Walla Walla Gun Club, just off of Middle Waitsburg Road near the Bonanza Raceway, has operated on the western side of the airport since 1949. Its leased space includes 31 acres of shot-fall area and 11 acres of pavement.

The club includes 18 American Trap Fields, 1 American Skeet Field, a clubhouse with separate male and female shower facilities, and meals served for scheduled events.
