SALEM, Oregon — Representative and Oregon Gubernatorial Candidate Knute Buehler (R-Bend) sees fundraising setting new highs, and incumbent Kate Brown has been dropping in the polls.
Buehler says that’s got the Democrats worried, and he says they are planning a new rule that would put a halt to his fundraising during the Legislative session that began Monday.
“Governor Brown and her allies in the Oregon Legislature has pulled a little bit of a dirty trick,” says Buehler. “They are going to pass a house rule which will say that anyone in the Oregon House has to stop fundraising for five weeks.”
Buehler says the only problem he has with that rule is that it won’t apply to Governor Brown’s own fundraising efforts as well.
